Who do I want to win? Mine that Bird is such a tough little horse and I love the big gray.

Deep sand of Belmont Park. No one much talks about this part of the very difficult mile and a half Belmont stakes. Belmont Park has a deep sandy track. Have you ever tried to run on the beach in deep sand. It is so tiring. So the horse must have stamina, love a deep sandy track and have the lineage to go a very long distance. It is even said that the feet of a horse is a factor. Camels have big wide feet. They do great on sand. Big feet? I wish they showed us the size of the hooves of each horse and the shoes. I would love to see what kind of shoe each horse is shod.
3 races in 8 weeks is an amazing feat for a three year olds. These horses are not even completely matured yet. It's an amazing 3 races. The Triple Crown.
